In a meeting with UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) President Marie Chatardová, on 9 November, the UN General Assembly (UNGA) President Miroslav Lajcak announces that he will hold three events related to implementation of the SDGs.
The events are related to the issues under SDG 4 (quality education), SDG 6 (clean water and sanitation) and SDG 17 (partnerships for the Goals).The event addressing water for sustainable development, will be held in March 2018. The UNGA will during the World Water Day, 22 March, also launch the International Decade for Action: Water for sustainable development 2018-2028.
